Laila Wah OMD is for more than 30 years, a Doctor and Educator of Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine, which includes Traditional Acupuncture, Cosmetic Acupuncture - Facial Rejuvenation, Fertility Acupuncture, Trauma Acupuncture for physical and emotional concerns, Wah-Atsu Shiatsu (Wah's method of Shiatsu), Chinese and Western Herbology and related adjunct modalities (mico stimulation, cranial movement, Reiki and Seiki, chakra balancing, and ear candling). She specializes in women's fertility issues, pre and post natal care, and all women concerns, such as pre and postal care, menapause, PMS, migraines and nervous disorders. Certified and licensed in the state of Pennsylvania, Wah is recognized as a pioneer in the field of East Asian Medicine, and remains on the cutting edge in the field of alternative medicine in the Tri-State area. Wah offers a Saturday Acupuncture Clinic in Newtown, PA for those who would like to have a first time Acupuncture experience at minimal rates.

Wah created The Gautama Institute for the Healing Arts, Philadelphia's first professional school for the training and certification in Shiatsu and East Asian Herbal studies. Both as founder/director of the programs, Wah taught the baulk of the classes at the school and created a course on "Zone Therapy", combining abdominal diagnosis with Shiatsu and Acupuncture theoretical applications. She invited leading teachers and experts in the field of Asian and Western healing art studies who came to teach The Gautma Institute: Ted Kaptchuk OMD, author of The Web That Has No Weaver, and director of East Asian studies at Harvard University, Leon Hammer MD, author and imminent occidental expert on Chinese pulse diagnosis, and Kiko Matsumoto, co-author of Ten Stems.

Wah received more than ten years of training in Traditional Acupuncture, Chinese and Western Herbology, and related East Asian medical studies. She had the opportunity to learn from leading teachers in the field from around the world at the Tri-State Institute for Traditional Acupuncture in New York, and graduated cum laud with the school's second year graduating class. Wah's studies continued at the Traditional Acupuncture Foundation, The Gautama Institute, The East-West Foundation and the Gaia Herbal Research Institute. Wah was the first graduate of the Ohashi Institute for Shiatsu at its inception in New York City, and she also studied with the reknown Shiatsu practitioner, Master Masanaga. Wah has been featured in The Philadelphia Magazine, appeared on television programs, such as "Good Morning America", and is featured in various publications (The Bucks County Women's Journal - 2011). Wah is also a writer and publishes in various editions (Prevention Magazine, New Visions Magazine) and has taught internationally in Morocco and France. Wah is a frequent presenter for community health events, and does out-reach programs for schools and unversitites, non-profit organizations.
